The counter answers orders, sizing and returns; the workshop answers anything with a stitch in it. Both read every message, usually the same day.

The workshop
Repairs and monograms go straight to the bench: workshop@example.com. Send two photographs and we reply with a quote and a date.
Before you order
The practical part.
Everything a first order tends to raise — shipping, duties, repairs and how a hide behaves after a few thousand kilometres.
Anything else, write to care@example.com — a maker answers, usually the same day.
Pieces in stock leave the workshop in three working days; made-to-order takes four to six weeks and we write with a date once the hide is cut. Portugal and the EU are delivered duty paid. Everywhere else, the carrier collects local duty on delivery — we declare the full value, so nothing is held.
Yes, and it is the point. Send it back and we re-stitch seams, replace zips, hardware and handles, and re-edge the leather. Repairs inside the guarantee are free; outside it we quote before starting, and the work is done by the person who made the piece where that is still possible.
Vegetable-tanned hide darkens and softens. Expect a visible shift in the first six months — deeper colour at the handles, a warmer tone overall — and scratches that burnish out under a thumb rather than staying. It never looks new again, which is why we do not sell it as such.
Within thirty days, for any reason, as long as it has not been monogrammed. Stock pieces are a straight exchange or refund. Made-to-order with initials stamped into the leather we cannot resell, so those are final — we say so twice before you confirm.
Empty it, loosen the straps and keep it upright in the cotton bag it arrived in, away from radiators and direct sun. Twice a year, a thin coat of the balm we include. Never a leather cleaner with solvent, and never a radiator to dry a wet bag — let it dry slowly, away from heat.
Everything we control: stitching, edge finishing, hardware, zips and the hide itself against splitting or delamination. It does not cover a bag left in a car in August, or damage from a solvent cleaner. There is no registration — the piece is guaranteed, not the buyer, so it survives being passed on.
